I don't know about the night shades but use sunflower seeds instead of nuts. I don't eat nuts and feel much better without them. Is he allergic to any other nut?

I bet you could make most recipes without the pepper and it would still taste good.

I have a question about substitutions.  I avoid nightshades because they aggravate my arthritis.  Many recipes include bell peppers.  Does anyone have a suggestion about something I could use as a substitute.

Also, I'm sharing recipes with my daughter-in-law who is interested in getting more whole foods into the family diet.  My son is allergic to cashews.  What is the best nut to use as a sub for cashews?

Thanks.

When we recognize emotional detox approaching, we can step back and take a deep breath.  And move forward with an ease just because we know the source of the negative feelings...

Here is a helpful resource from the RFR Library:

I need some support. I have been dabbling in raw for a couple of years now. I have experienced the health benefits and I really want to go 100% raw. My problem is it is so hard! 1. No one in my house hold is even interested in it. That leaves me cooking 2 different meals. That isn't the big deal. The big deal is when I see it I crave it and I want it. Sometimes I have no self control especially when it comes to sugar. 2. When I start to detox I am a very horrible person. No one likes me,  I don't even like myself! If it was just a week of being a horrible person I could live with myself but it's weeks. Let me tell you just how bad I get. When I am detoxing I scream, I throw things, I am hateful and I want to beat the crap out of people.

I am starting a 4 week spring detox here in my home town on April 11th.  I am hoping that after the 4 weeks I will continue the raw. I get told that winter will be very hard being raw and I won't have any luck at it. We are supposed to eat cooked food in the winter to survie! Well what did man do when there was no fire? How did they cook their food? Such bull.....lol. Then I hear you gotta eat your blood type. So according to the book I need to eat meat in order to feel good and be healthy. So all the vegitarians out there, what is their blood type? Beet juice? Lol. I just don't understand a lot of this. What I do know is that on the raw if feel wonderful and happy. Not on raw I feel sick, tired, in pain and depressed. The pic of me to your left that is me on a 4 week raw. I felt amazing!

Hey thanks for letting me ramble and I am looking forward to getting to know you all soon.

Hope you have an excellent day!

Angelina

I made zucchini "pasta" for the first time with my new spiralizer - loved it! and I made a pesto sauce to go over it but was out of basil so I used organic spinach instead, and it turned out awesome!

MSM AND IT BENEFITS

Good morning all,

I have been reading about benefits of MSM for skin. Can anyone share their thoughts and opinions as how it has helped them with their skin, re tone, lines , wrinkles etc.   Does it really work or is it alot of hype.

Thanks for sharing, have a blessed day

Kip
