Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hello everyone!
I just discovered and joined this community a couple of minutes ago, so please bear with me if I may ask some questions that have already been answered elsewhere, Im trying my best to find my way through and not to be too annoying!
But first of all, Id like to introduce myself: Im a 22years old girl from Germany, currently based in Berlin.
Im a student and fashion model. I have been a vegetarian for about 6/7 years now and a vegan for about 2. It was my grandfather who got me interested in health, nutrition and the connection between food and body, mind & soul, for what I am eternally grateful to him.
Along with me becoming vegan, I have started becoming more and more interested in different style of eating, such as raw. Ive red books such as "Eating Animals" by Foer, "The Omnivores Dilema" by Pollan or "The China Study" by Campbel. These books certainly changed and shaped the way I look at eating, food and nutrition and opened a whole new horizon which by now has become my passion.
I have made Green Smoothies a daily routine and try to include as many raw fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds into my diet, however, since Im traveling a lot, I am having a hard time sticking to a mostly raw (and sometimes even vegan!) diet.
How do yo guys deal with it ?! Sometimes I am only staying somewhere for one night, hence I can't bring any liquids (e.g. green smoothies) or large equipment through the security checks.
And ultimately, when I find myself hungry in a foreign/unknown city (without knowing the raw/healthy food spots) I turn to unhealthy and certainly not-raw food :(
I would love to hear from you, whether its an advice or just a hello!
I am just at the beginning of my health-journey but the fact that webistes like this exist make it so much more encouraging and appealing :)
