Hi guys i am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to sweeten up the green juices as i really struggle to drink them without gagging and leaving the bitter taste. I have heard that a cube or two of pineapple is supposed to help but just like to know if this is true.  Thanks in advance.

Greens should be about 1/4 of the juice. The other 3/4 could be stuff like carrots, beets, celery, cucumber, ginger, lemon and apple. When I started juicing I would just add very little leafy greens to my 32 ounce juice. Then as my taste buds changes I started adding just a very little more of theleafy greens. If something doesn't taste good I'm not going to drink/eat much of it

Hi. Throw 3 apples in with it. Carrots also offer sweetness if you didn't want apples, for whatever reason.

Thanks guys. Have use ever heard of pineapple being used in green juices or is that just wrong??  Here is one of my green juices i made today for the first time and i just found the taste horrible.

6-8 spinach leaves 
1 cucumber
1 green apple
1/2 lemon
Small piece of ginger root (1”/2.5cm)

I might try adding a carrot or maybe another apple see if i tastes any better. thanks

Maybe next time use just one spinach leaves and work your way up. But yes, to save this juice put some carrot, beet or another apple in it.

People do juice pineapple. I don't because I'm diabetic. I do however save the core from the pineapple I eat and through that in my next juice so it doesn't go to waste .

I'm a Green Smoothie fan - which means that I most often am combining greens with fruit - and I find that bananas do the trick for my taste buds. A simple blend of 2 cups greens (any kind - varying them often) 2 cups fruit and 2 cups water - offers endless possibilities for flavor. Dates are also useful for sweetening.

I have found. 1/2 lemon and mint fix the problem

You can use a little stevia.

I use wild greens rather than vegetable greens. And then I add high vitamin C fruits to support digestion. Pineapples and oranges, Passionfruit and berries. Also i add a little coconut oil for slow release. All good > i first started taking green smoothies thirty years ago.
