Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Having recently settled in Queensland, Australia, I am having a few problems and would love to know if there is anyone else in the Hab who lives in Australia and may be able to help me with some information, i.e. why can't I skin almonds after soaking them for 8 hours, this was something that I did on a very regular basis in the UK but even after 12 hours here they just won't skin and I hate those brown bits in my pulp when I dehydrate it for use in other things. If anyone can help me with the answer to this dilema as I have tried different 'raw' almonds but they all require being placed into hot water to remove the skins - may as well buy blanched if that is what I need to do. Thanks in anticipation of anyone anywhere having an answer to my dilema.
