Getting Moved In - Setting Up Your Suite

Big Props to member Susan Bradbury for writing this post.

Instruction for setting up your personal page/suite:

Under your picture, you will find where it says Manage MY PAGE or PHOTO, Click on PHOTO and upload a picture of yourself from your computer. We want to see your smiling face! Hit browse to upload the pic.
Hit SAVE when it it done loading.

Click on MY PAGE to change your theme.

How to change your theme
Click on Appearance
Choose your theme

How to change colors/text
Where it says: Now, make it unique, click on all options
This is where you can get creative!

You can rearrange where you want things on your site, just click on the left hand corner of it and drag it to the left side of the page. You cannot put anything on the right hand side, it won't let you. For example, I put my profile, my photos, my groups, my blogs off to the side so I would have room for pictures.

How to add pictures:

Click on right hand side where it says EDIT
You can change the title anytime you want.

Across the top are helpful icons.
B stands for bold
I stands for italics
U stands for underline
S stands for strikethrough
the little loopdeloop stands for hyperlink
the camera is for adding pictures
the page is for uploading files

Hopefully this will be helpful to those who aren't computer savvy. If you still need more help, Susan has volunteered to walk you through it. Also, if you see someone's page and you like it, just message them ask them how they did what they did!

There sure is alot happening around here...
I can smell the fresh paint....I love the laughter and shouts of JOY!
I can hear the hammers pounding in the nails to hang pictures, I can hear the vacuum's running....I hear the elevators dinging, people unloading boxes and re-arranging furniture!

Jean's a moving and ashakin' and hooping it up on her page!

Penni's working hard, sitting by the pool with her boxes yet to unpack! She deserves a break since she has been working sooo hard the past few days!

I am a country girl and must decorate in distressed primitive. I do so hope the neighbors don't mind. I promise to use the modern conveniences(gotta have some luxuries) and not build an outhouse :)

i change my room often as i never can decide on the best lol -- i am learning how to make my own instead of picking the canned ones

Go to the appropriate room...click start a discussion.
Post the embed code...do you know where to find that...example to to youtube....in the upper right hand corner, see where the embed code is...highlight it and paste it to where you want it on the post.

I wanted to upload a song and I really didn't know where it was suppose to go. Sorry I'm a computer newbie with seven kids and all,.I was the last to get a chance to learn. I love how unique the gals are making their room etc. I suppose I will learn little by little. I think my song is in the commons. I'm not sure how that happened, I thought it would stay on my page.

How can I rearrange the page? I want my pictures first, then comments and all the updates last, if at all. Is there a way to do this? Thanks Suite Savvy Friends!

Click in the upper right hand corner of your comments, etc... and drag them to where you want them. You cannot put them on the right hand side of the page...but you can move them to the left hand side if you want...
