Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Hubby and I just ordered this program and I can't wait to get started.  I have been logging in on programs like "my fitness pal" and "sparkpeople" recently and I know I am probably not getting enough calories to fuel my body while doing this extreme workout.  I feel like my body will definitely let me know I am more hungry naturally, but for anyone who has done this program or ANY type of extreme training, what tips can you share?

ANYONE ELSE STARTING something like this soon and like to buddy up?  I do have a local partner and even DH, but it's always great to have someone who is HIGH RAW or 100% raw to give feedback.

Thanks,

Wendi

Hi Wendi -

I've looked into starting something like this but just haven't had the time, and, to be honest, I'm hesitant to make a commitment that I'm not sure I can stick with.  I'd be very, very glad to hear about your progress (ESP being raw!).

Above all else, have fun sweating!!

Hi Michelle.

I too was hesitant about P90X when I watched part of the first video.  I hadn't been on a regular workout schedule at that point and I just felt the anxiety building as I watched it  :)

BUT, I have now been SUCCESSFULLY working on the Power90 program, from the same trainer that doess P90X.  I think it's a great "beginner" exercise program that could get you prepped for P90X (if you want to).  And the best part is that it is only 30 minutes a day, which was a huge plus for my hubby and I - otherwise I don't think we would be successfully using it.

Good luck!

I have been doing great!  My diet has not been as raw as I want, but today I am adding more raw in.  I am not thinking of "restrictions" as far as diet....I am just simply looking for meals and snacks to eat that are raw.  When I went to the grocery store, I didn't focus on fresh foods, there was just too much going on with DS 17th birthday cookout/party.  I am focusing on foods that I know make me feel great!  I know RAW veggies and fruits do that for me, so I am adding more in!  The workout has been great.  I have used the downloadable sheets from their web-site and marked my progress.  Every time I do a workout, there is a change in the reps or the weights.  I feel like I am accomplishing something great!

Thanks for posting.  Good luck with the Power90 workout, I have heard great things about it so I hope it prepares you for P90X!  Stick to it!!!!
