I walk outside in the warmer weather and indoors in the Winter.
I know some people do Mall Walking, do you?
Tell us who you walk with...do you have a buddy?
How far do you walk? I try to do 1-2 miles a day and sometimes take it to 3-5...depending on my time.

Only have 5 minutes and you are at work?

Do you want a new walking challenge?  Here you go!

These can assist you when you walk:

MALL WALKERS UNITE!

It is winter now so we may need to walk indoors!

Introducing my Auntie Esther...be sure to welcome her,
she just checked into the Unit this morning!

This walk wasn't for muscle today...
If I was seriously movin' it,
I would have had a faster pace..
but when Elliott along and shops to stop in....
well....we walked anyways!

Please take us on a Mall Walk where you live
or show us your favorite outdoor walking spots!

Get those feet a-walkin'! : )

Wow

Thanks for the videos!

Walking & dancing are my favorite forms of exercise. I especially love to go for short hikes in the summer. Winter is usually when I do ecstatic dance as the main way to get exercise.

I don't do any mall walking as I live a small town without one, but it seems like it would be fun to combine walking with people watching and window shopping! haha

wow, this really is a work out - surprisingly simple and wonderfully effective - my heart rate is up and I'm feeling good!

thank you so much for sharing this - I'm walking here!

Yesterdays walking steps 7,189. Today will be better.

In the past two weeks, I have been steppin' it up!

Last week, I did 55.5 miles...with my goal to do 8 miles a day or a min of 50 miles a week!

The week prior, I did 41 miles!

And since just before Christmas I was only doing 2 miles a day every few days!

Usually I get up EARLY and walk 2-4 miles before everyone in my house is awake.  Then the daily family routine kicks in....I run errands, change diapers, teach the kids, do laundry, dishes, etc...all the day's JOYs!

I walk a mile or two in between all these...when the grandbaby naps, etc...I usually have my 8 miles in before noon!

I challenge you to find the hidden time in your day to walk...even five minutes will begin to bring you health benefits.    Park far away in the store parking lot....walk around the whole store, even if you only need something in the front of the store, like produce...get those extra steps in....you will be soo glad you did!

In May, I turn 50!  It is my year of Jubilee!  I am expecting GREAT THINGS!

I plan on walking 50 miles a week, that's 200 miles a month!  By end of May, I will have walked 1,000 miles!!

Anyone want to join me?  You do not have to walk 8 miles a day...Choose your goal and go for it!!

Many years ago...like 9 when Elliott was a baby...I was 270 lbs...I could barely walk for 5 min...It was a great effort!  I walked 1 mile with Leslie each day...stopping the tape many times for a break...soon I was able to walk that mile...I then started walking outside my house..walking back in forth in front of the house while talking on my cell with my Mom for support...when I was talking I was able to do it better, the time went by fast.  After I could walk 20+ minutes in front of the house, I dared to venture around the block...then over time...a few blocks and then to the park and walk around the ball diamond...This took time to develop.  I was not even eating well at the time.  I felt great the time...so accomplished!  NOW is a different story...I have grown soo much...

If you are just barely getting off the couch to change the channel, because you can't find the remote, or you have been a walker or a runner for years...I ask you to join me in moving that body every day...go at your own pace..this is not a race or competition...this is for YOU!!  : )

Remember:  NO ONE can do your walking for you!!

Susan,

you are inspiring me.  I was about to blow off another workout when I saw your facebook post.  I got up and did the 5 minute Leslie vid you had linked to and now I am here in the fitness center wondering how to get started walking with you.

hi Michelle  {{{(((waving at you here in the Fitness Room)))}}} your post is motivating me! as soon as lunch digests a little more I'll go out and jump on my rebounder, then I'll hoop a bit before I get into the afternoon work projects!

thanks for the boost!!
