Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

How would you like to win one of these fun spiralizing gadgets for your raw food kitchen?

The Joyce Chen Spiral Slicer (aka - Saladacco):

This Thursday I will be drawing the names of two lucky Raw Food Rehab members who will win one of the above spiral slicers.

To enter this week's drawing you must tell me which episode of it's a High Raw Life you liked the best and why. Tell me that in the comments below.  Your name will be put into both drawings, unless you tell me that you would prefer one slicer over the other.

Good Luck and be sure to tune in this Thursday to see if you are a winner!

My favorite episode of It's a High Raw Life is episode 7 - Banana Ice Cream because 1) I love banana ice cream! and 2) I love that Michelle's kids like the banana 'ice cream' (my 13-year-old loves it too) but that she's realistic enough to give them their choices of 'toppings'. I enjoy watching all of her videos...she's too cute.
Wow her videos are addictive! I think I'm on number 8 so far. My fav has been the unfried rice. We eat a lot of Asian food and it's great to have something to eat with the family! I love her daughter helping and tasting the food. A slicer would be nice, but the vids are priceless. I too have to do things simply or I just won't do it.
Thanks Penni!
It's a High Raw Life - Episode 5 Asian Dressing - I love salad... don't like it dry... I love Asian dressing... don't like it commercially processed... easy recipe, minus the refined oil, and I have the dressed salad I love. ;)
Thank you for introducing me to Michelle! Her videos are so great....she has so much energy and beauty. Not to mention yummy recipes to share. I really liked the Not Fried Rice recipe. I am not a big fan of cauliflower but am going to give this a try....it looks so good and easy!
I would love to win either great kitchen tools! They would be an asset to my kitchen.
Thanks, Jenn
These videos are great! As a new member to RFR, I've found that all the information on the site is wonderful but a bit overwhelming. Michelle's videos show, step by step, how to create beautiful and nutritious raw foods....and she does it all with a family. I love her sense of humor. Her ability to laugh at imperfection and bring "High Raw" down to earth kept me smiling. Each video left me thinking, "Hey, I can do that!" I guess if I had to pick a favorite, it would be cauliflower fried rice. I am not a huge fan of cauliflower but think that I will love it prepared in this way. I want to try it in the Veggie rolls. Can't wait!
Many thanks to Michelle for the videos and to Penni for spotlighting them.
I liked the not fried rice episode! It's quick and easy and you can utilize what you have in the fridge easily!!

I'm going to put this in for my mom since she's a pasta lover and really use this to stay on track.

My favorite episode is the mustard episode! The reaction to the hot mustard was priceless with a good description of the flavor and heat. I'm a big fan of mustard, even yellow (haven't figured out how to make a raw soft pretzel though). I have my first batch ready for vita-mixing this afternoon!
Tough call, since these videos offer so many delicious possibilities with little to no intensive preparation time. I have to give it up to video #24, "The Lazy Juicer", however. First and foremost because I always want the simplest, easiest way to prepare raw juices and foods. Secondly, I have to admit it's that glass from the strip club in San Francisco that sent this straight to the top of my favorites list. Hilarious!
Hi

I liked episode 13 with the beet salad. I love beets and love to see new ways of introducing beet salad as beets do have a strong flavour that many do not like. It is also a nice simply recipe.
Yay! I almost forgot to put my name for one of these!!!

Anyway, I love Michelle's videos...all of them! But if I had to pick one, I'd say I love her scrap bag video because I thought that was such an awesome idea. Why didn't I think of that?!?! So now I do it :-)

I also loved her Taco Tuesday video because, you know...she doesn't just have ONE kind of taco. No. She has a taco AND a tostada! Or was that an enchilada? Whatever...the flat kind!

xo
Oh the Asian Dressing for sure! I'm always trying out new dressings to zip up all of my salads and this one a) looks divine (totally love asian fusion!) and b) is so simple! Haven't seen too many of the IAHRL shows since I'm new to RFR but am really looking forward to checking out some of Michelle's other shows!!
My two favorite Episodes of it's a High Raw Life are Episode 8, The Scrap Bag, and Episode 30, Traveling on the Cleanse. The overall idea of A Scrap Bag is great and resourceful. The Scrap Bag concept is creative and economical. Michelle is very knowledgeable and very encouraging and down to earth in her videos. I especially like the fact that she disperses wisdom and encouragement to both newbie and seasoned Raw Foodists; particularly in this video when she encourages continuance of a raw food initiative/transistion with non-organic foods when organic is not an available option or is affordable.

Episode 30, Traveling on the Cleanse, reflects committment, determination, organization, and creativity. It evidences the fact that Michelle is a strategic planner. I especially liked it because it demonstrates all of the aforementioned characteristics. There's a familar motto..."fail to plan... then you plan to fail;" This is certainly not the motto of A High Raw Life!! How many of us would take the time or seize the opportunity to prepare our juices or food for that matter, pack it, and take it with us for a getaway, whether for business or pleasure? Or research healthy food options prior to arriving at his/her destination? Michelle strategically scoped out the hot spot, the Health Food Store with a Juice Bar, she would be frequenting and left no room for excuses!! Bravo Michelle!! So encouraging!!

Penni, my preference is " the Spirooli". I would love to have this to add some fun, creativity, and sasseyness to my new lifestyle!!! Thanks for the opportunity to share and submit an entry!! God Bless YOU!!
