WendySmiling - The Incredible Shrinking Stomach!!

Check out WendySmiling's Before and Afters:

Before joining RFR and the Vault, I was eating about 50% raw, but most recently my diet is around 80 - 90% raw foods.  I have been able to drop 16 pounds and 14 cumulative inches in my chest, waist, abdomen and hips!!  My goal has also been to walk 10,000 each day, which has helped.

People have really started to notice the difference in my appearance, which is encouraging. I think the support of the online community has been very helpful and the weekly weigh ins in the Vault have really helped to keep me on track.  Eating this way is not a fad diet diet for me, it is now my long term lifestyle choice.

One of my motivations for maintaining this lifestyle is that I have had a variety of health challenging including diabetes and Cushing's disease. I found it interesting that during the 11 weeks if I did cave to a sad craving I vomited....as often as 3 times a day. Maybe that is just my body's way of sending me a message loud and clear!  The green juicing made me feel awesome, but was not easy for me to stick to long term. I can feel the Cushing's is getting better and I'm in a happier mood. I get crabby/sulky if I cave to SAD. I also can keep my blood sugar levels normalized when I stay focused, which is awesome. I hit my one year anniversary of discovering raw in May, so it's really exciting to see how far I have come!

Thanks Wendy for sharing. You just convinced me to sign up for the vault!
I am so happy for you that your overall health has improved since eating raw. Outside the raw food community we are led to believe that chronic health conditions can only be treated with pharmacology, and I am so pleased that you have found that living foods do indeed heal. Congratulations on your one year raw anniversary!
That is so neat, Wendy! You must feel great right now! Thank you for this testimonial and proof to all of us we can also transform our fitness and health! xo love cindy ;) Thank you Wendy!
AWESOME WENDY !! HURRAY !
Keep the faith. It took anout a year after I stopped the cortisone before I really started feeling and seeing a difference. You will get there. The raw-er the better! <3

Your post gives me hope. I started high raw June 1st and was off all diabetic meds in 15 days. I take prednisone for an autoimmune disease, which has caused tremendous weight gain, moon face, and other side effects like Cushing's Syndrome. I'd pretty much given up hope that while on the prednisone I could lose any lbs. But, your success over Cushing's is exactly what I will be tackling too. I am Vaulting this session and hope to reach the heights you've reached.

CONGRATULATIONS! Food is medicine!
Congrats! Looking great!
you look fabulous.

Look at you!!! Wow! Ok, calming myself down =). I am so happy for you! I'm so proud of you! I'm so inspired by you!
That was sooo interesting to hear how clearly you saw the differences when you slipped back to SAD. I don't think its as clear for all of us... I'm a bit lesser version (haven't vomited, so sorry not fun but pretty clear, but I do feel better and my moods better with raw for sure).
I'm so happy I stumbled on this post today. Really inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story! Thank you for loving yourself enough to do this for yourself. You Rawk!
I don't digest cooked food properly (hence the vomiting).

Never heard of Cushing's till about week ago from cousin who has plus a million other health problems. She's all drugs and whatever doctor says she jumps too. Glad you are seeing results and not like the cousin. Keep up the great work.
