Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
I have recently learned that thieves broke into Seattle's THRIVE Cafe (gluten-free, vegetarian, organic, raw food mecca) sometime during the night and stole all of their computers, much of their inventory and equipment from the Vitality Shop, and equipment that was for the 4th of July Sale for customers and fans of Thrive. They even stole the last dollar from the tip jar. And they stole personal items and other property. This is a huge setback in time, effort, and it is a devastating financial disaster. The insurance company alone will charge $2,500.00 for the deductible.
I have had the opportunity to spend some time with THRIVE's owner Monika Kinsman and I can tell you she is a true delight and one of the key players in the Pacific Northwest's health and vitality movement. I found THRIVE to be a beautiful place that cares about everyone who walks through its door, does everything humanly possible to educate and feeds the healthiest food on the planet to as many people as they can. They give away free meals on Thanksgiving to close to 200 people. Monika and the staff at THRIVE have high integrity and character and I am hoping that many of us here at RFR can help to make a difference.
I'd like to see us help get THRIVE back on it's feet during this time of crisis. This robbery has been a double whammy after a recent flood that closed their doors for close to a month.
If you feel so led, please consider making a donation of any size to THRIVE. Even $5.00 from everyone who reads this would make such an impact and difference.
The link to donate is: http://thrivecafe.chipin.com/fundraiser-for-thrive-cafe-seattle

So sorry to hear about the robbery! When I get paid next week i will donate what i can.
I live not too far from Seattle and have been to Thrive. I'm going to donate and have posted a link to this on my facebook.
I have never been to Thrive but am willing to donate what I can. I know every little bit helps.
I know how it feels to have your Cafe robbed and we lost relatively little. It's important that we support in whatever way we can people who are doing the hard yards to help restore the community's health - and I know from experience running a Cafe is definitely doing the hard yards. Something like this can be truly demoralising. I'm happy to help.
