I'm excited to announce Raw Food Rehab's Weight Room 2012 is now open! The desire for this aspect of connecting, support and accountability has been a constant that has been shared from so many who have been part of our Initiatives since the very beginning of our site in 2009. Members have asked that this portion of what we offer not end.
  
Here are the details:

 

  • Weekly weigh in's each weekend (weight can be posted anytime from Thursday afternoon through Sunday night - beginning on the first weekend in Jan. 2012
  • Regular discussion topics, either in the form of a video or article that will be geared toward the theme of weight loss or weight management.
  • Weekly recipe feature.
  • Opportunities to win prizes and receive special offers.


When you sign up you will receive:

  • A welcome video with instructions & guidelines for participation.
  • Downloadable weight & statistic tracker and food log/journal pages
  • Access to all material shared & to the weekly weigh in threads
  • totally private room experience with group support

 

Details on Tracking:

  • On your day 1 you will upload your beginning measurements, weight/stats and before photo
  • Every 2 months, beginning on March 1st, we will ask for updated stats and pics.
  • Every two months there will also be an optional evaluation.  We want to share your success stories with all of the members of our Raw Food Rehab community.
  • Members will no longer be removed it they miss a weekly weigh in, but we would still like to know if you are out of town or if you will be unable to weigh in for an extended period of time.

 

How to Sign Up:
  • $10 monthly subscription fee charged to your Pay Pal acct.
  • Membership can be cancelled at anytime by going into your settings on Pay Pal to unsubscribe.
  • Once a membership is cancelled, members returning to the Weight Room must pay the current subscription fee to rejoin.
 
*Once paid, you will receive an email at your Pay Pal email address inviting you to come request access to the new Weight Room.

Wonderful resource tool, as always!

OK - I just bought the Omega Vert, Penny's Raw Food Cleanse and joined RFR wieght room.  I will have to use my (Jack Lilane) Juicer until my Omega Vert comes in and continue to feed the 7 others in my family on Organic whole foods (at least for now)...so I am hoping the support of this group will help me stick to it!  Here we go....

Good for you, MSF!  Whatever you think and decide you can and will do - you will succeed in!  This is a journey and we aren't into perfection - just interested in positive progress and moving forward in baby steps everyday.  Sounds like you have set some great intentions and plans in motion.  YOU are worth it!

Good Luck to all of you,,,,I know this is a great place to be.  I wish there was something like this for people who are trying to gain muscle and weight through raw food. :)  Its so much more difficult to put good healthy weight on and muscle than one could ever know.  I choose to do this with healthy food and not cheese cake, nuts and bon bons. Cheers!

I know that you are not alone in your quest to gain muscle, strength and healthy weight.  Have you ever read the 80-10-10 book by Dr. Douglas Graham?  It's just another option to look at.

T hanks Penni, I will look for that book. :) YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!  I need something to focus my attention on since my mother's cancer is getting worse and I know the future isn't looking good. :)

Hi Penni,

I tried a group previously that was had criteria for the photos - size of photo, clarify, position of person, feet, etc. Also, which measurements, arm, calf, hips, etc. - Thanks.
