Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Supermodel Carol Alt joins Good Morning America to make uncooked, unprocessed delights. Click here if you'd like to check out Carol's latest book - EASY SEXY RAW
Many of you may know that it was Carol's first book, Eating in the Raw, that lead me into the raw & living foods lifestyle. And as fate would have it, my personal story of healing was published in Carol's second book, The Raw 50.
I know a lot of the purists get bent out of shape that Carol still includes a bit of animal protein in a few of her recipes, but had her 1st book been strictly hardcore vegan, I most likely wouldn't have been as receptive to the message (as I was quite the little carnivore back in 2005). So I'm really grateful that we can each have an impact in our own spheres of influence and make a difference in helping to encourage others to add more raw and living foods into their existing diets!

Consciousness is an evolution for sure - we have to respect and accept and discuss if we are open to it - each other's journeys. My daughter's on a paleo diet atm - makes for mucho interesting conversation!
The more I progress (and its no straight forward progression!) the more compassionate I seem to feel to those also trying to find their way. Compromise is about win -win." No-one" has a monopoly on wisdom.
Permalink Reply by Debi on July 17, 2012 at 5:50am Thanks for sharing Penni! This is great. Like you, I'm glad for the different viewpoints and philosophies. Everyone's body will react in a different manner and to me it is important to find what works for your individual body. That may be 100% raw vegan, 100% raw including animal, high raw, mixed raw and cooked vegan or not, 80,10, 10, and any others out there. I know for me I'm still figuring it all out and I've been eating raw for 6 years. And yes, there has been a mix of it all. I've been reading 80,10,10 and I'm thinking about giving that a try to take things to a whole different level. Whether I get the exact ratio or not, I do know I need to cut the fat from nuts, seeds, and avocados as I'm eating way too many particularly in the winter time.
