I don't use the E word either!!!

If I am not walking, I sit on an exercise ball while on the computer! And sometimes juggling Mr. Elliott on my lap at the same time! How is that for creative movement!?

Been walking and raking today : ) It feels great to keep this body movin'!!

loooove my rebounder!!
Yay! Thanks for the shout out for the 10,000 Step Club. Yes- I like to say that Dennis and I are related as In- Raws.

Just want to emphasize that you can count your steps regardless of if you work out outside, on a treadmill, step in place in your living room, do yoga, workout with weights, yard work, doesn't matter. We have a way to convert anything you do to steps- even without a pedometer.

And don't be shy, if you are limited in health, like I am. It doesn't matter if you get 500 steps in a day or 15,000. Its just a way to add focus to your daily movement and give you some way to keep track so you can make improvements.

Hope to see you in the Fitness Room. :-)
i have pain/fatigue issues so i'm not as consistant as i'd like, however, that being said...i do yoga, lift weights, indoor walking, and i too have the big exercise ball to sit on at the computer! i get sneaky and do upper body during tv commercial breaks!
Gym Rat... hum... not sure I like that term. But, very happy with my gym membership. I agree that walking is a wonderful, full body exercise and can be done by any one any where... I gave it up and went with a gym because I live in a rural area and have been attacked by wild dogs before. And I know me... I won't exercise inside my house. It's a long, boring, 'sad' story as to why I won't, but I won't!

So, I'm really enjoying the gym. I'm finding out I'm not very healthy! No much stamina and very weak muscles, but hey... I didn't fall apart in one day/week/month and I'm sure I'm not going to build myself up over night either.

In this one I'm definitely taking the tortoise position... slow and stead will win my race!
just got off my air climber. whew! worked up a good sweat. used a 2 lb medicine ball while stepping. very nice. did over 30 minutes, working back up to an hour. i watched nightline and stepped. any other air climbers out there? http://tinyurl.com/ykkwxde
We like to mix up our workouts here in Tahlequah, Oklahoma 3 to 5 days a week.

Mornings:
5 mins on the rebounder
10 mins inverted exercise on the OM-Gym (hanging upside down)
20 mins of yoga stretches

Late Afternoons:
20-60 min. walks and or hikes through the woods by the Illinois river.
or if weather is bad 20-40 min workout on the elliptical in the house.

*100 kegels throughout the day

*When I was attending Midwifery School in New Mexico back in the early 80's, one of my class requirements was to write a paper on the importance of prenatal exercises. Well, I chose to research and report on one of the most important exercises that women of all ages should be practicing everyday.....KEGELS.
Most of you probably know this exercise and practiced it during your pregnancies, but are you still doing them now?
Please check out the one page research paper on the importance of Kegeling in the attached file below.

OOOPPPSSS!!!
This last post did not come from Christa, it came from her Mom Debbie. She's been pursuing RFR today on my computer and I mistakenly posted this last reply through her site without knowing it until now.
Anyway the attached file about the research paper on Kegels is on this post below.
Ciao,
Debbie

I did not used to like exercising, moving by body or any of it, but I love it now. It's fun! It's all about momentum. Just gotta get started with something and keep it up. Definitely helps to make the lbs release, but helps in so many other ways. One of the most helpful things moving by bod does is lift my mood. Thanks to Eva, I'm jogging 2 miles now. I didn't even know I could jog one! I also love weight lifting, but that's not new to me. Started swimming some too. I'm blessed to be a member at a large gym that is family style and very comfortable for anyone young or old, athlete or brand new to fitness. But before the gym and when I was new to body movement, I set goals to get on walking clothes and shoes. When that was accomplished, I told myself to get out the door and I didn't have to go far. Then I said just go down the street, etc. After a while, I enjoyed it and it wasn't too hard and I eventually grew to love it. If you don't already, you will. Our bodies are made to move!
I have a friend that has a bumper sticker on her car that says - HONK IF YOU KEGEL!
