Soul Food Soup
2 handfuls spinach (or other leafy greens)
1 carrot
1 stalk celery
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 zucchini
1/2 cucumber
1/2 avocado
small handful cherry tomatoes
1 small shallot
1 small clove garlic
1 lime, juiced
splash of apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp raw honey
pinch of sea slat & fresh cracked pepper, to taste
1-2 cup of water, to blend

If you don't have a high speed blender, just chop your ingredients in smallish pieces. Blend all the above ingredients until smooth and creamy.

For a chunkier soup add in:
1/4 cup celery, minced
1/4 cup fresh tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup cucumber, chopped

These ingredients also make a welcome & healing addition to the mix:
sunflower or buckwheat sprouts
cayenne or 1/2 jalapeño, seeded & minced
turmeric, grated (or the dry spice)
smoked paparika
basil or other Italian herbs

Green Smoothies RULE!!
I LIVE for Green Smoothies!
They are the secret of my raw success!

I got the idea to make Green Smoothie chips from the Ann Wigmore DVD in our Media Room! Also, if you do not dry them as long to make as chips, to make as mini wraps that you can fill with veggies and a sauce..whatever you like!

I make my chips from my sweet Green Smoothie...making it with savory green soups is a wonderful idea!

Hey, have you noticed? Michelle is on our pic for the Culinary Center!! Support Michelle's efforts! You will not be disappointed! I absolutely LOVE Michelle's DVD!! Go get yours NOW!!!
Beautiful! Makes me long for a vitamix AND a dehydrating machine!!! *sigh*

SO excited for MichelleK!
You are too funny.....Baby Poop....I love it.....Great video once again...Hugs
If you don't have a Vitamix, you could use a food processor first and then your regular blender. That's what I do. I got a round American Harvester dehydrator for $5 at a thrift store. I see tons of blenders and food processors there all the time for cheap. I am excited because I ordered a new Excalibur dehydrator. I see green chips in my future!

AWESOME!!! I've been craving a green soup and didn;t know where to start. <3
Great ideas Penni, can't wait to try it!
Penni, your video was great and I did learn something today. I had seen the energy chips also on the Ann Wigmore videos, but you made it look much easier. I love portable food and these energy chips will do the trick
I actually don't really like raw soup that much! But I have tried one of your other soups and I did like it. I think the chunky factor might help me out. I mean, I like raw chili and it's part soup. i suppose you just have to make it work for your own taste buds, right? thanks for sharing.
I love you too! I am so having this soup tomorrow, thank you. I am still giggling over the baby poop comment, I get that all the time.
You are so funny Penni - "Baby Poop!" What's funny about that is that it's true. Family members, coworkers, friends - they all think that green smoothies are gross because they are green, or the raw soups are gross because they are a yellow green. You would think that they would look at color as being beautiful, good, delicious, clean! Oh well, they have to try it before they should be allowed to judge it. It is good! Real good!!!

I'm still waiting for the opt to own a vitamix or blendtec blender, and also an excalibur dehydrator. For now I'm happy with my current cuisinart blender, and using my friend's ronco dehydrator. My nesco burned out finally... I have to say, although not mandatory to eat well, using a vitamix sure is great! I got to use a coworkers for about two months - it was RAWSOME!!!! Some day!!! =)

Love your videos Penni! Love you! I appreciate all you do for the raw food community! Thank you, thank you!!! =)
FANTASTIC! Idea for making green chips, I'm going to make those!!

Your Foodie Friday vids could possibly be the most favourited also, I fave yours and Michelle K's all the time!

I'm pleased you liked the Easter Bunny photo, I haven't seen him this morning, I hope we didn't frighten him off when we were sneaking around putting the food out for him, he was SOOOO CUTE! I was flabbergasted at the coincidence of him being there on a Good Friday!! I had NEVER seen a rabbit on our property before, this was the first time....SPECIAL.

UK Hugs to you

Just gone to favourtie your video and I can't find the favourite button?? This has happened before but where is the fave button on here?? I fave Michelle's with no problems
Looks delicious! Can't wait to try it. Thanks ! While watching, I thought-how about adding a little cumin? Cumin and lime juice, a little south of the border? hmmmm...
