No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!
Today I'm making 2 recipes from my dear friend Philip McCluskey's newly re-edited and re-released book - Raw Food Juice Bar! As Philip is preparing to embark on his tour of Australia, he is also graciously offering two digital copies of his book to two lucky Raw Food Rehab members. You can learn more about Philip on his websire: www.PhilipMcCluskey.com
Philip loves the sweet, licorice flavor that fennel adds to his green juice. This is lovely with an apple tossed in as well.
1 SMALL FENNEL BULB
2 SMALL CUCUMBERS
1 HANDFUL MINT
1/2 SMALL LEMON DIRECTIONS
Juice all ingredients, serve and enjoy!
This drink is like a shot of green electrolyte energy. Perfect to accompany your intense cardio or weight training.
2 - 4 CUPS OF COCONUT WATER
1 - 2 TABLESPOONS OF SPIRULINA
1 PINCH OF SEA SALT
1 - 2 TABLESPOONS OF CHLORELLA (OPTIONAL)
1 DROPPER OF STEVIA (OPTIONAL)
Hand stir and enjoy!
As promised - here's the low-down on Chlorella & Spirulina. Each has a unique nutritional profile. Although I love them both - check out the scoop:
Both chlorella and spirulina offer a vast range of health benefits, and many of their strengths overlap. As a general rule, you should consume spirulina and chlorella in a 2:1 ratio. In other words, if you take 10 grams of spirulina a day, take 5 grams of chlorella, too.
ENJOY! And please holler at us in the comments below for your chance to win a copy of Philip's awesome book!
