Real Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

Hello Everybody - It's Michell K here again as we are wrapping up the month of February.  Thanks so much for being such a wonderful audience each week as I've been guest hostessing Foodie Fridays in February. It has been great - and you've made it so much fun for me!

As you've like heard me share in previous videos, it is important to me to get the most out of my produce.  Some weeks I really feel the need to stretch that grocery budget just a bit too.  I love making gourmet raw food recipes, even just for myself, but I don't have time to do that everyday.  In the past I have shared about using my cut veggie scraps to make patties, crackers and breads, even desserts.  For the last few days I have been making a meal that has been delicious, easy, and also makes use of the pulp from my new favorite juice combo, which I'm sharing with you today.  It doesn't get any better than squeezing out the very most from our food and I'm happy to be sharing this with you today.  Fancy recipes have a place in every kitchen, but so do the simple steps that help you take your own creativity onto your plate.

I also want to mention that we have a recipe share for the uses of juice and nut milk pulp going in the Kitchen, so please check that out and add your ideas!

You can also find every episode of Foodie Friday from this past year by clicking here.

And I invite you to come check out my entire collection of videos from my internet show, it's a High Raw Life.  You can find Collection One & Two in our Culinary Center right here at Raw Food Rehab!

We are having techical difficulties..they are being worked on.  I will post another comment it is working..
It should be working now! : )

oh my, this looks so easy and delicious.  i will most likely give it a try this weekend.  i have the same juicer and i looove it, talking about easy clean-up.

question ... where can i get a few of those glass jars that michelle has her mid-morning juice in, the one w/the lid?

I like to use quart sized mason jars with the wide mouths. I got like 12 of them for $10 at Walmart. I use them for everything....juices, smoothies, dehydrated goodies, etc. They are really easy to drink out of and easy to clean with the wider mouth. The bonus is that they seal to keep in the freshness....

Hello Barbara,

What juicer do you have?  I am going to buy one this next month and am trying to find the one that will last but not cost so much.  Thank you in advance  wendy

I save the jars form my Gt's Kombucha, I love the shape and size.  It used to be a major pain to get the label off but they changed their labels and adhesive and now it is a snap.

Thank you so much.  I always feel guilty throwing away my pulp.

Thanks for sharing, Michelle!  What kind of juicer is that??

Michelle, you are awesome!  I've had so much fun making crackers out of my pulp so I will try your ideas.  You go girl!  hugs, Wanda

This looks so delicious. I know what to do with my nori sheets this weekend!

it is a hurom juicer.  it is a first generation body with the new generation bowl and strainer.  I had some probs and had to get the upgraded parts.
