Today my goal is to show you that delicious raw food really can make you warm! Enjoy these recipes from Raw Food Cleanse:

Sun & Sea Pate
1 cup sunflower seeds, soaked & drained
3/4 cup almonds, soaked & drained (I used jungle peanuts)
1 stalk celery
one handful cilantro
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup nama shoyu (I only used 2 tbsp)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp dulse flakes (I used kelp w/ cayenne!)
In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients until smooth. Keeps well in the refrigerator for about 5 days. Awesome with flax crackers and cut veggies.
2 cucumbers
Sun & Sea Pate
1 red bell pepper, minced
1 carrot, grated
small handful purple cabbage, grated (no cabbage today :(
small handful black olives, chopped (I didn't have this today)
Cut the cucumbers in 2 - 3 inch pieces. Hollow out with a spoon. Fill with the pate and create a rainbow of color as you garnish with the remaining ingredients.
2 cups fresh tomatoes (I use grape tomatoes)
2 cups sun-dried tomatoes, soaked for 30+ minutes
1/2 cup olive oil (I use closer to 1/4 cup to watch my fats)
1/2 cup cashews, soaked
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup shallot
1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes (feel free to use less)
1 tbsp agave nectar or honey
1 tsp smoked sea salt (it is fine to use regular sea salt)
Blend all ingredients, including the tomato soak water, in a blender. Combine well until you achieve a creamy consistency. Add more water if necessary. Warm in your blender and ENJOY!

It's really great seeing these videos as if we are in your kitchen.I very much love this .Keep them up ,as I know you will.Nice snow.This year we haven't had any snow ,not even snow flakes.And we have the driest January on record.And trust me when I say today is dry,but we have had many wet days.California has been getting our rain and flooding.

Penni- you and the work you do is fantastic and amazing. I look forward to trying the recipes you shared. I have to say though, that I was a little more than disappointed to see the Keebler Club cracker and JIF peanut butter packages in the background...:(
