Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Penni & I arrived into the Teton Mountains Monday evening to join with our Creative Director, Daniel Hayhurst to set up our base camp for Cleanse America. It's breathtakingly beautiful here and I was so energized and inspired I had to make a video!

I'm feeling waves of gratitude for all the positive energy that's flowing into the Cleanse America's amazing Community Site site right now. So much synergy building as we are just getting started with our summer 10-Day cleanse. None of this would be possible without the web design creativity from Penni and the administrative commitment of Susan.

Here are some tips I have picked up from past experiences with cleansing that may help as you if you've joined the cleanse or are considering joining us now:
  • Preparing the mind is very important when beginning a cleanse. Know that one of the blessings of being human is having free will. This is an opportunity for you to gain control of your health and you do this one step at a time with each bite or drink you take. When a craving comes - be aware of the thought and where it comes from. Ask yourself if having that thought and craving serves your better good. If it doesn't it is time to create new thoughts and habits. Cleansing is an opportunity to restructure your thoughts and habits. Set specific goals for yourself. Write them down in places you see all day. Attach feeling to those goals and thoughts. That is how to develop new positive habits in your life.
  • Prepare your spirit as it is likely to be challenged during cleansing. Set time aside each day to pray or meditate. If you do it first thing in the morning it will set the tone for the day. If your thoughts or environment are challenging you then pray and ask God for help. One of my favorite verses is, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Use as needed.
  • Prepare your body. Know that there will be some ups and downs. Know that the end result will be that your body will be in a better state of health than when you began. When you experience a detox symptom shift how you view the situation from a negative experience to one that sees your bodies healing wisdom doing its job of rejuvenating from within. Exercise everyday if possible. This helps tremendously with mood, detox and getting your lymph system moving. Get some sun on your skin and breathe some fresh air. As often as possible. Plant at least one thing and watch it sprout during the cleanse. Connect with the correlations between the sprout and your cleansing experience.
  • Prepare all your friends, coworkers and family before the cleanse. Ask for support and understanding as you step into this experience. Explain that you may need to nap, laugh, cry, pray, walk, isolate yourself or be a little crabby. Reassure them that your emotion states have nothing to do with how much you love them. If you have a transparency with your cleansing journey every one around you can learn from you. This communication strengthens bonds and allows for healing to take place on many levels.
Most of all be kind to yourself and others. Invite them to join you. Do this with compassion and release all judgment.
Thank you all so much for being a part of the mission of Cleanse America. We each have a role to play in the transformation of the health of the nations. To join us come to www.cleanseamerica.com or just click here.
Looking forward to this healing adventure with you!

Thank you Paul! What a wonderful video and yeeehawwww...loved that music too.  Was that Penni driving the car with the camera? Ok, now don't take my wacky humor wrong but I kept watching you Paul and as you were doing some of those exercises, I was thinking "oh dear, hope nobody is nearby" when you were chucking those rocks across the river ; ) Kind of like when you go golfing.  It sure is beautiful there. Thank you for sharing and for the great message. And watchout for flying rocks <3

Wish I was there too. But here is also good. Cheers.
