yum, yum, yum!

so I started juicing again this last week. I wanted to work my way back into green juices. I randomly grabbed some items today  to make my first green juice in 6 months. I was quit pleased!

4 leaves of red curly kale(I'm sure you could use any kind)

1 large cucumber

1/2 head of celery

3 small green apples

1 large lemon(peeled)

soooo good! I can't wait to make it again. Happy juicing!! :)

Help here??  I want the recipe of the shamrock green juice!!   Thanks

Sweet Hot & Green

4 Braeburn apples

4 stalks celery
1 handful each spinach & wheatgrass
1 jalepeno

Push it all through your juicer and drink over ice in a sophisticated mason jar ;- )

Purple Passion

1/2 head purple cabbage
2 granny smith apples

Push through your juicer. Serve in a chilled martini glass for a swanky, somewhat seductive smart cocktail.

I Can See Now!

8 organic carrots
4 stalks celery
1 orange bell pepper
1 lemon

I liked this "I can see now" ..... the lemon has a good kick! :)

Looks yummy, what kind of cherries did you use?

Sweet Cherry Pine
The Big Book of Juices...

2 large handfuls of pitted cherries
1/2 pineapple skin cut off and sliced to fit in juicer

4/5 energy
2/5 detox
4/5 immunity
3/5 digestion
4/5 skin

As well as being diabetic II   - so restrictions on the fruit in juices for me,   I am also on limited amount of liquid per day (1 & half litres the most I can have)(heart/lung problem and on fluid tablets)

Which is fine cause I can stop drinking my peppermint tea.  However, does drinking juices give you diarrohea?  I also suffer from IBS which can be embarassing to me.

I am desperate to start as I want to feel better - I am sick of being sick all the time!

I just made the Beetific Elixir and it's fantastic.

Beetific Elixir

2 medium beetroot
4-6 carrots
2 apples
2 inches fresh ginger
How do you like your Hurom juicer? I've been really swaying towards it for the "slow juice" quality.

I shared this juice with some of my non-raw colleagues and they loved it so that passed the test....here is a cool drink for a winter morning.

1 cucumber, peedled if not organic

2 apples (one sweet and one green if you like it sweeter)otherwise go granny smith

handful of mint (depending on availability and taste - I used 5 stems)

1/4 - 1" of fresh ginger (again according to taste)

Juice it all and drink to your health.  (I used a Hurom juicer so I also put in probably about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water - running it through the juicers.)  I've noticed that sometime there will be pulp left on the auger so this helps with getting the maxs out of the juice and helps with the clean-up.

I like trying fresh herbs in my drinks when I can so summer is a good time to experiment with different herbs from the garden.

Absolutely delicious (even if not so beautiful)! What jumped into my juicer this morning:

Cantaloupe, strawberries (with tops), lemon, mint, greens (baby spinach, baby chard, baby kale), and habanero.

This afternoon, a new beautiful and delicious creation:

Pineapple, grapefruit, orange, lemon, and goji berries (soaked, then juiced, soak water included), and habanero.
